Men & Women
During non-prayer times, Riyaz ul Jannah allows all individuals inside, but they must segregate themselves based on gender-specific areas marked with red lines on the floor. However, Sahih al-Bukhari 1196 mentions that The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Between my house and my pulpit there is a garden of the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit is on my fountain tank (i.e. Al-Kauthar).” This means everyone could use this space without any segregation.
During prayer time only men can enter Rawdha Mubarak (Green Carpet Area) whereas women pray outside at designated places near Gate Number 22. This gate leads directly toward Prophet’s grave.
